I don't know your situation or your setup. Or how mom seemed a little more relaxed for a little while. Or how nice it was to do this every weekend during the summer. They remember how crazy it was that they just came across this.

They don't care about projector resolution, or what version of the movie you chose. This is the kind of thing people remember. Is it going to change someone's life overnight? No. Like I said above, something like this can be magic. Not because constructive criticism is bad (which is NOT what this woman gave you, by the way), but because you are DOING something. Even if it's just mowed grass and an old projector pointed at the side of the garage. I know that if I was walking around the neighborhood and my son and I came across this we would both be absolutely thrilled. It's hard in general, and doubly hard because there's never a good reason to just get together. I'm kind of an introvert, and don't really know any of my neighbors. Sorry if this is long, but I feel that people don't get the kudos they deserve. And also, they might only ever tell you they enjoy it once, but they THINK it every time.
